No, it's no colder in the balloon than on the ground. In fact, the coolest part of the morning is when we meet. It gets warmer from that point on, and quite cozy when flying in the balloon over California. We therefore recommend that you wear clothing in layers so you can take off a jacket or sweatshirt while in the balloon and not become overheated.
