So, you’ve gone ahead and booked a spectacular hot air ballooning adventure. If you happen to be a first-time hot air balloon participant, you may be wondering what to bring, wear and expect. Remember to bring along a camera or cell phone and make certain it’s adequately charged and has enough room to store the huge number of pictures you’re going to take. Wear comfortable clothing. Keep in mind, hot air balloon flights are at the mercy of the wind and weather so be prepared to be flexible in the time you have allotted to commit to the activity for the day including time spent driving to the launch location and in the chase vehicle following the landing.
Make every attempt to stay hydrated but we recommend you don’t overdo it on the drinking. There are no bathroom breaks during the flight, obviously. Once the balloon has landed and dependent upon the location of landing, it may be awhile before you are anywhere near to a restroom so consider foregoing your morning coffee if it has a tendency to be the thing that keeps you regular too.
After you arrive at the launch location, you may have a chance to watch the envelope inflate or even to participate in the setup process. Make certain to pay close attention to the instructions of the crew and balloon pilot. They will provide you with important safety information and then you will be able to board the basket and prepare to lift off.
The instruction you received may come in handy upon landing as no landing is perfect and you may come in slightly clumsily so keep your hands and feet inside the balloon, make sure your belongings are secure and your children are being attended to.
